4.0 Exhaust

Ok, so when I got this jeep it had no muffler. It was just cut off after the cat. Obviously I put a muffler on it. So I went down to Auto Value and the showed me a muffler that they said would be comparable to a Flowmaster 40/44. I personally dont like the way it sounds. What I was hoping for with a chambered muffler was a low and deep, but also pretty loud... It just sounds like garbage lol. So what muffler would you recommend for low but deep sound?

I personally wouldn't know I have a hacksaw special on all of my vehicles.

you would be amazed i had a honda civic that ran stock exhaust to the cat, cat and back was actually from a ford escort and the tail pipe was off a jeep..... Its what I had around

I had a flowmaster 44 on my 87 yj and 09 Xterra and it sounded great.

Funny Story about that...... My ford is the same way as of the moment. 88 f350 12V cummins 5spd gutrag trans exhaust from a chevy and the ford, with a dodge downpipe off the turbo the driveshaft is a dodge ford blend to the carrier bearing and ford from C bearign back. I will stop there, as it gets more mashed up from there.

Well I'm thinking about getting rid of my bulky tub sized stock muffler on my 2012 patriot. Mainly for ground clearance and maybe some help with the flow to get an extra 0.5 mpg. I don't want it to be loud at all. Lastly I want to stay cheap I'm thinking Thrush Hush turbo muffler or a Walker Quiet Flow probably go with the walker since I want it quiet, and will probably throw a black tip on there if they can tuck the stainless muff and pipes good enough. Anyone have any experience with either of these mufflers especially on a 2.4 four banger? Thanks for your help.
