So, I'm pretty sure that I have 3.55 gears in my XJ. I like the RPM that I see on the highway, but with 4'' lift and 265's, it tends to downshift often and especially when I have the cruise set. How hard and how much would it be to change the gears? If I were to do so I might do like 3.73's.

Not sure on XJs but on TJs when you go from 3.55 or lower up to 3.73 or higher we have to change the carrier as well...
